The Initial Idea: What to write?

Drawing
When I was a kid, I would draw all the time.
I drew from my imagination.
I drew from reference, like comic books.
I got into graffiti.
Drawing inspiration has slowed and drawing tapered off.

Writing
When I was 20 I discovered Henry Rollins and his books, and was inspired to write.
Wrote poetry for years, but ran out of gas. 
”It’s been said, and by better than I.”
Desire to write more
What to write? Novel? 
A screenplay will be easier. (yeah right)
But How?
